[p style="text-align: center;"]Hey Infinix Fans, Hope you guys are enjoying Tech Class. In today's Tech Class thread You are known All about Display

[p][br]
What Is Display?
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A display is an output part of Device for presentation of information in visual.

[p style="text-align: center;"]When the input information is supplied has an electrical signal, the display is called an electronic display.

[p][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]There are many types of display,

[p][br]
Segment Display:
[p style="text-align: center;"]Segment display show only digits or alphanumeric characters. They are called segment displays, because they are composed of several segments that switch on and off to give appearance of desired glyph The segments are usually single LEDs or liquid crystal. They are mostly used in digital watches and pocket calculator.

[p][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]There are several segment display,

[p][br]
Seven Segment Diaplay (SSD):
[p][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A Seven Segment Diaplay (SSD), or seven-segment indicator, is a form of electronic display device for displaying decimalnumerals that is an alternative to the more complex dot matrix displays

[p style="text-align: center;"]Seven-segment displays are widely used in digital clocks, electronic meters, basic calculators, and other electronic devices that display numerical information.

[p][br]
Nine-segment display:
[p][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A nine-segment display is a type of display based on 9 segments that can be turned on or off according to the graphic pattern to be produced. It is an extension of the more common seven-segment-display, having an additional two diagonal or vertical segments between the top, middle, and bottom horizontal segments. This provides a minimal method of displaying alphanumeric characters.

[p][br]
Fourteen-segment display:
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A fourteen-segment display (FSD) (sometimes referred to as a starburst display) is a type of display based on 14 segments that can be turned on or off to produce letters and numerals. It is an expansion of the more common seven-segment display, having an additional four diagonal and two vertical segments with the middle horizontal segment broken in half. A seven-segment display suffices for numerals and certain letters, but unambiguously rendering the ISO basic Latin alphabet requires more detail.[1] A slight variation is the sixteen-segment display which allows additional legibility in displaying letters or other symbols.

[p style="text-align: center;"]A decimal point or comma may be present as an additional segment, or pair of segments; the comma (used for triple-digit groupings or as a decimal separator in many regions) is commonly formed by combining the decimal point with a closely 'attached' leftwards-descending arc-shaped segment.
Sixteen-segment display (SISD):
[p][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A sixteen-segment display (SISD) is a type of display based on 16 segments that can be turned on or off according to the graphic pattern to be produced. It is an extension of the more common seven-segment-displau adding four diagonal and two vertical segments and splitting the three horizontal segments in half. Other variants include the fourteen-segment-display  which does not split the top or bottom horizontal segments, and the twenty two-segment display that allows lower-case characters with descenders.
TFT (Thin-Film-Transistor):
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A thin-film transistor (TFT) is a special kind of field-effect-transistor made by depositing thin films of an active semiconductor layer as well as the dielectric layer and metalic contacts over a supporting (but non-conducting) substrate. A common substrate is glass because the primary application of TFTs is in liquid crystal display. This differs from the conventional transistor, where the semiconductor material typically is the substrate, such as a silicon wafer
Structure of TFT:

[p style="text-align: center;"]1 - Glass plates

[p style="text-align: center;"]2/3 - Horizontal and vertical polarisers

[p style="text-align: center;"]4 - RGB colour mask

[p style="text-align: center;"]5/6 - Horizontal and vertical command lines

[p style="text-align: center;"]7 - Rubbed polymer layer

[p style="text-align: center;"]8 - Spacers

[p style="text-align: center;"]10 - Front electrode

[p style="text-align: center;"]11 - Rear electrodes

[p][br]
LCD:
[p style="text-align: center;"]An LCD in a thin-panel display that's used in many computers, TVs, and cell phones. But there actually are many different types of LCDs. Here are definitions of the types of LCDs you're likely to find on a cell phone.

[p style="text-align: center;"][br]
Definition:
[p style="text-align: center;"]An LCD, or Liquid Crystal Display, is a type of screen that is used in many computers, TVs, digital cameras, tablets, and cell phones.

[p style="text-align: center;"]LCDs are very thin, but are actually composed of several layers. Those layers include two polarized panels, with a liquid crystal solution between them. Light is projected through the layer of liquid crystals and is colorized, which produces the visible image.

[p style="text-align: center;"]The liquid crystals do no emit light themselves, so LCDs require a backlight. That means that an LCD requires more power, and could potentially be more taxing on your phone’s battery. LCDs are thin and light, though, and generally inexpensive to produce.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Two types of LCDs are primarily found in cell phones: TFT (thin-film transistor) and IPS (in-plane-switching). TFT LCDs use thin-film transistor technology to improve image quality, while IPS-LCDs improve on the viewing angles and power consumption of TFT LCDs. And, nowadays, most smartphones ship with either an IPS-LCD or an OLED display, instead of a TFT-LCD.

[p][br]
TFT - LCD:
[p style="text-align: center;"]TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor, and is a type of technology used to improve the image quality of an LCD. Each pixel on a TFT-LCD has its own transistor on the glass itself, which offers more control over the images and colors that it renders.

[p style="text-align: center;"]While TFT-LCDs can deliver sharp images, they also tend to offer relatively poor viewing angles, meaning they look best when viewed head-on. If you view a TFT-LCD from the side, it can be difficult to see.

[p style="text-align: center;"]TFT-LCDs also consume more power than other types of cell phone displays. In general, TFT-LCDs are found on more low-end smartphones or feature phones, and on basic cell phones.

[p style="text-align: center;"]These days, most smartphone manufacturers either use an IPS-LCD or an OLED display. For example, Samsung's flagship smartphones boast OLED panels, while Apple's iPhones and iPads come equipped with an IPS-LCD. Both technologies have their own pros and cons, but are miles better than TFT-LCD technology.

[p][br]
IPS-LCD:
[p style="text-align: center;"]IPS stands for in-plane switching and is used with LCD screens to form IPS-LCD, which is a thin display that solves limitations in TFT-LCDs.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Some of the limitations of twisted nematic field effect matrix LCDs include low-quality color production and a dependency on viewing angle. IPS-LCDs, then, have better color reproduction and viewing angles.

[p style="text-align: center;"]IPS-LCDs are usually found on mid-range and high-end smartphones and portable devices.

[p][br]
More Information on IPS Displays
[p style="text-align: center;"]IPS-LCDs feature two transistors for each pixel, where TFT-LCDs use just one. This requires a more powerful backlight, which delivers more accurate colors and lets the screen be viewed from a wider angle.

[p style="text-align: center;"]IPS-LCDs don't show when the screen has been touched, which you might notice in some older monitors. This is particularly advantageous when using touch screen displays like those on phones and touch screen laptops.

[p style="text-align: center;"]The downside is that an IPS-LCD might consume more power than a TFT-LCD, possibly up to 15% more. They're also more expensive to make and have longer response times.

[p][br]
LED Display:
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A LED display is a flat panel display, which uses an array of light-emitting diodes as pixels for a video display. Their brightness allows them to be used outdoors in storesigns and billboards, and in recent years they have also become commonly used in destination signs on public transport vehicles.

[p style="text-align: center;"]LED displays are capable of providing general illumination in addition to visual display, as when used for stage lighting or other decorative (as opposed to informational) purposes.

[p][br]
OLED Displays:
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]OLED, or Organic Light-Emitting Diode, displays are able to deliver sharper and brighter images than LCDs, while also using less power. Just like LCDs, OLED displays come in a variety of types.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Here are the types of OLED displayyou're likely to find on today's cell phones and smartphones.

[p][br]
AMOLED (Active Matrix OLED):
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]AMOLED is the abbreviation for Active-Matrix OLED, a type of display that is found in TVs and mobile devices.

[p style="text-align: center;"]AMOLED displays actually pair part of a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. This allows them to offer faster response times than regular OLED displays, which can be prone to ghosting when displaying fast-moving images. AMOLED displays also offer greater power savings than traditional OLED displays.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Like traditional OLED displays, though, AMOLED displays may have a more limited lifetime, because of the organic materials used to make them. Also, when viewed in direct sunlight, the images on an AMOLED display are not as bright as what you'd see on an LCD.

[p style="text-align: center;"]However, with a rapid advancement in AMOLED panels, more and more vendors have started equipping their products with an AMOLED display.

[p][br]
Super AMOLED:
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]Super AMOLED displays, which are found in many smartphones, are designed to improve on the performance of traditional AMOLED displays.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Super AMOLED displays offer significantly better performance than AMOLED displays when viewed in direct sunlight. They are also supposed to offer brighter images while consuming less power than their AMOLED counterparts.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Moreover, with Super AMOLED displays, the actual display and the digitizer are attached together, resulting in an enhanced viewing experience due to no air gap.

[p][br]
Touch Screen:
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]A touch screen is a visual display that acts as an input device, by responding to the touch of a user's fingers, hand, or an input device such as a stylus. But not all touch screens are the same.

[p style="text-align: center;"]The touchscreen enables the user to interact directly with what is displayed, rather than using a mouse, touchpad, or any other such device (other than a stylus, which is optional for most modern touchscreens).

[p style="text-align: center;"]Here are the types of touch screens you're likely to find on today's cell phones.

[p][br]
Capacitive Touchscreen:
[p style="text-align: center;"]A capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coat with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO).As the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the controller for processing.

[p][br]
Multi Touch Screen:
[p style="text-align: center;"]Multi-touch technology allows a touchscreen to sense input from two – or more – points of contact at the same time. This allows you to use multiple finger gestures to do things like pinch the screen to zoom in, or spread the screen to zoom out.

[p][br]
How Does Touch Screen Work?
[p][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]All Types Of Touch Screen, But The Most Used Touch screen Technology are Resisive Touchscreen Technology, Capacitive Touch Screen Technology

[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"][br]
Conclusion:
[p style="text-align: center;"][br]

[p style="text-align: center;"]So, There are many types of display, The OLED, AMOLED, Super AMOLED display are very Good display, But They are very expansive too, But LCD Display are quite Cheaper, So For making budget phone maximum phone's display are IPS-LCD.

[p style="text-align: center;"]Thank you all..
Be active and keeps rocking..

Infinix

The future is now!
